Korean Lash Lift FAQ

Find answers about Korean lash lift systems, lotions, shields, glue, tint, processing, aftercare and professional use.

1. What is a Korean lash lift?

A Korean lash lift is a professional lash lifting approach that focuses on controlled lash placement, carefully selected shields, step-by-step lotion processing, and customized lift direction based on the client’s natural lashes and eye shape.

Compared with a one-size-fits-all approach, Korean lash lift techniques typically place greater emphasis on shield selection, root positioning, lash direction and controlled processing.

LOMANSA offers Korean professional lash lift systems designed for lash artists and salon use, including lifting, setting and care lotions, adhesives, shields and application tools.

2. What is the difference between a Korean lash lift and a traditional lash lift?

The difference is not simply where the products are made. A Korean lash lift generally refers to a technique and product approach that emphasizes precise lash placement, suitable shield curvature, controlled lotion application and customization for different lash lengths and eye shapes.

Traditional lash lift methods can also create excellent results, but the final outcome depends on the products, shield design, placement technique, processing time and the condition of the natural lashes.

If you are learning the Korean approach, start with our How to Use a Korean Lash Lift System before selecting products.

3. Are LOMANSA Korean lash lift lotions made in Korea?

Selected LOMANSA professional lash lift lotions are manufactured in Korea.

Because country of origin can vary between product categories and accessories, always check the individual product page for the origin, specifications and instructions of the specific item you are purchasing.

Our Korean lash lift range includes professional lifting, setting and care solutions developed for controlled salon workflows.

4. How do I choose the right Korean lash lift shield?

The right shield depends on several factors, including natural lash length, eyelid shape, desired lift, desired curl and the curvature of the shield itself.

A smaller or stronger-curved shield may create a different result from a larger or flatter shield. The lashes should sit smoothly on the shield without excessive stretching, crowding or poor root placement.

LOMANSA offers Korean lash lift shields in different shapes and sizes for customized professional treatments.

For a more detailed explanation, read our How to Choose Korean Lash Lift Shields guide.

5. What do Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3 do in a Korean lash lift system?

The exact function depends on the specific product, but a professional three-step lash lift system commonly includes:

Step 1 – Lifting or Perming Lotion
Helps prepare the natural lashes so they can be repositioned into the desired lifted shape.

Step 2 – Setting Lotion
Helps set the lashes into their newly positioned shape after Step 1 has been removed.

Step 3 – Care Essence
Provides the final conditioning or care step in applicable systems.

Processing instructions can vary between products, so always follow the directions provided with the specific LOMANSA system.

6. How long should Korean lash lift lotions process?

Processing time depends on the specific formula, natural lash condition, lash thickness and the instructions supplied with the product.

Do not assume that every Korean lash lift lotion uses the same processing time, and do not leave the product on longer simply to create a stronger lift.

More processing does not automatically mean a better result. Shield selection, lash placement, product quantity and correct timing all work together.

7. What is the difference between liquid lash lift glue and lash lift balm?

Both are used to support shield placement and lash positioning, but they offer different working textures and application styles.

Liquid lash lift glue generally provides a more traditional adhesive workflow and can be suitable for technicians who prefer controlled tack during lash placement.

Lash lift balm or solid glue offers a different texture and working feel and may be preferred by artists using balm-based placement techniques.

The best option depends on the lash artist’s working method, the shield material and the products being used together.

8. Can I combine a Korean lash lift with lash tint?

Lash lift and tint services are commonly combined, but the correct treatment sequence and product compatibility depend on the products being used.

Always follow the instructions for both the lash lift system and tint system, and do not assume that every tint, developer or lash lift formula is compatible with every other brand or treatment protocol.

LOMANSA offers professional lash and brow tint products that can be selected according to the specific service and product instructions.

9. Why are my lashes not lifting evenly?

Uneven lift can be caused by several factors, including:

  • Incorrect shield size
  • Uneven lash placement
  • Lashes crossing on the shield
  • Inconsistent lotion application
  • Incorrect processing time
  • Product applied to the wrong section of the lash
  • Lashes not fully secured to the shield
  • Differences in natural lash condition

Before repeating the treatment, review each stage rather than immediately increasing processing time.

Our Korean Lash Lift Guide explains the key preparation, shield selection and application steps that influence consistency.

You can also review our Korean lash lift shields if the current shield size or curvature is not suitable for the lashes being treated.

10. Are LOMANSA Korean lash lift products suitable for beginners or professional lash artists?

LOMANSA focuses primarily on professional lash lift systems, lotions, adhesives, shields and tools for lash artists, salons and beauty professionals.

Some products may be straightforward to work with, but successful lash lifting requires correct product selection, shield placement, timing, technique and understanding of natural lash condition.
